This is a video from CNN.com, kind of goes along with the blog I had earlier about food prices going up because of bio-fuel production. Its about taking good wasted food from places and serving it to people that really need it. The food isn't bad it just is what restaurants and other places would throw away because either its damaged and they can't sell it to consumers or they didn't get rid of everything they made. Its a good idea and more places should participate.

100 MPH Line Drive Off Head
Ouch. Baseball isn't usually a dangerous sport, until you start considering getting hit with a line drive in the head.

Biofuels
The U.K. is mandating the use of biofuels but there is much concern surrounding the fact that food prices will increase and land will be needed to create biofuel plants. Scientists in the U.K. and U.S. have found that the cultivation of biofuels can increase the output of CO2 and other gases blamed for global warming because of changes in land use. It seems like a good idea but will fuel prices ever go down? Is there any source of fuel that won't harm the environment? I think we are making great progress towards getting away from fossil fuels but seems there is much controversy and could be a while before we see any full proof outcome.

Lung Cancer Gene
http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1727161,00.html?cnn=yes
This is a link to an article talking about a gene that is linked to lung cancer in smokers. Very interesting, surprisingly a lot of smokers never develop lung cancer, this gene located on chromosome 15 seems to have a lot to do with. Granted smoking is unhealthy no matter what, this could be a good way to determine if you have a higher chance of developing lung cancer. If they can identify a person with this gene maybe that will help them to quit.
